Default Weak rear brakes

Hi all. I just picked up a 2016 Freewheeler with 2100 miles from a dealer.
The rear brakes are weak. At 25 mph I can stand on them to where they bottom out and the just slow me down very slowly.
Is this normal for Freewheeler brakes?
thank you

Don't know about FreeWheelers but I doubt that's correct at all. Have you looked to see if the reservoir is full? May be an air issue. But really brakes are meant to stop. Any warranty from the dealer? How long have you had it? Did you test drive it before you bought it? They should have safety checked it before releasing it. I'd ask them to take care of it.

Nope, not normal. Try flushing the brakes with some fresh fluid, if that does not improve things a master cylinder rebuild may be in order. Check your rotors and brake pads to make sure they are not glazed or worn out.

My 15 is pre ABS and I can lock the rears up. She will stop very quickly in a panic.

The rear brakes on my ‘12 TriGlide were worthless. It helped when I installed “

Lyndall Racing Brakes LRB Brake Pad Xtreme 08-15 FLT 7254-X 2008-2015 Harley Touring”

Thank you for the reply guys.
I didn’t get a chance to test ride the bike. I just had knee surgery, hence the change to three wheels from two. I’ve ridden Freewheelers on demo days when they first came out in 2016 so don’t remember the brakes being different.

I just got the bike a few days ago. I had them deliver it.
They said that they did a brake flush when they got it in. This was told to me while doing the purchase. This is the 2nd time I’ve purchased from this dealer.
The bike was sold As Is but I think it should of been fully functional.
I will call them and see what they say. I just wanted to make sure that the rear brakes weren’t designed to not lock up. It doesn’t have ABS
Thanks

Call the dealer and tell them they delivered an UNSAFE vehicle!
Meanwhile, get someone to test ride to verify the problem. A slow ride is all that is necessary.

Agreed! It's their problem, they did a flush incorrectly! Make them fix it, or threaten to return it.

I called the dealer. Explained the issue and they are going to pick the bike up Thursday and take it back to the shop and fix the brakes.
Thank you for your help

As they should. Good luck to you, I'm sure they'll take care of it.
