Progressive rear shocks. Best upgrade we did on TriGlide. Then adjustable footboard mounts, to move her feet up and out.

True story. We were riding our TriGlide in Yosemite NP, on a very hot day. She was wearing sneakers because we were doing a lot of walking. When we got back to our room that evening, as she was taking off her socks, she found that her toe nail Polish had melted and was stuck to her socks. That was before I made some mods to reduce heat (Wards fans & Jagg Oil Cooler), and installed the adjustable floor board mounts.

 

Thanks Guys, some great info here to look at. he was wearing jeans and is was a rather warm couple of days. Living in Florida, I will have to expect those days.

 

A trike has a problem getting rid of the heat because of the large area of the fenders and body behind everything.

 

I did a lotta reading about the heat issues on the M8 bikes/trikes. My old Ultra had the same issues even without the cat. Spent a lot of cash trying to cool it down. So I knew what I was Infor with my 2020 trike. I picked it up in December so I had some time to do the easy stuff that DK offers. Tank lift left side defector removal, Tank wings, decat, wrapped headpipe, Yada Yada.. So all that done I never told my bride about what to expect or not to. That summer was a very hot one and we went on alot of long rides in 90+ days. She never once complained about the heat. My advice is to do what DK suggests. The only thing I didn't do is the oil cooler and fans. But thats my own personnel choice to not do. Cost vs benefits wasn't worth in IMO. So do your research. Then get to work.

 

Capt, I know you don't remember but I bought a Harley belt from you about a hundred years ago. Worn it everyday since and it still looks great. I can't believe how good your stuff is. Anyway just had to chime in.

 

How big of a job is the install of the DEI shields?

Hey John-

I can't tell you for sure, since I had my dealer install them. I don't do much more than minor tweaks and adjustments anymore.

They charged me for 1 hour of labor, so it doesn't sound too intense. Hope this helps.

I installed them myself on my 21 TG. I took my time and followed the instructions. Worked out great for me.
