Have you tried any of the demo seats at the stealerships? Nope, I haven't tried either of those to answer your question, we enjoy the HD Road Zeppelin Air with adjustable backrest.

I had a Summit I found used on my 14. It sets you back about 1-3/4". Found that to be too much and had Mean City rework it to suit me. It's wide, low and setback about 1", perfect position for me. Actually kept it and will try it on my 21 cvo once spring comes.

I had the seat on my '18 reworked by MCC.
They did the "tail bone relief" cut with memory foam and added the heat pads to front and rear seats and i was still cheaper than buying a new seat and it is more comfortable.

I currently have a Mustang Super Touring Deluxe for Harley-Davidson FL Touring 2008-'21, p/n 79006, on my 2020 TriGlide. It's past their recommended break in miles. We don't like it. It's too firm and we can't stay on it very long without having to get off. It, plus the backrest and matching tour pak backrest, will be going in the classified section as soon as I can get MCC to rework my stock seat.

I sometimes think we place our expectations too high.
Heck, after a couple of hours even in a Cadillac I'm ready for a "comfort stop" and to stretch my legs!
And though I love my reworked MCC seat I occasionally find myself doing that "cheek-to-cheek-to center" move in order to remain comfortable especially when the goal is to run out a full tank of fuel.
Staying cool and dry is also a major issue and I use the H-D "Circulator" seat and back rest cushions that help keep me dry while others advocate for the "beaded covers" or the "sheepskin covers".

My only expectation was to have a comfortable seat and the Mustang isn't comfortable for me.

Every *** is different.

On my Vaquero I had a Mustang seat , and it was incredibly comfortable , but did not like the looks .

Now I'm considering C&C for the RK

I have the Mustang on my 2019 Triglide, both my wife and I find it comfortable. Seats are a very personal choice; what works for me may be uncomfortable for you. I have sat on an Ultimate seat at their Daytona shop and found it comfortable also. Mustang was cheaper, so I bought it

Funny, I have a Super Tour on my 07 flhtc and love it…. I have a tallboy Ultimate seat on my 14 Tri Glide and it’s not broke in yet, it’s firm as hell so I will give it sometime… I had a Hammock on it for a trip to Watkins Glen past summer and I had to get rid of it. The Ultimate is going to be good I think.
