Izz,
if you are going with a box trailer I would go with a 7 ft wide My 6 ft works but it is pretty tight on the ramp. If you go 6 ft you can use pool noodles or pipe insulation on the ramp cables.

I have a Jeep Cherokee LTD but it appears to have a towing limit of 2000 lbs. I'm leaning toward the Kendon trike trailer. Very light weight.

Iron Horse is nice if you can justify spending that much. If I buy another trailer, I'll probably go with an Aluma open unit because of their quality construction and light weight. My tow vehicle would be a Ford Edge w/V6.

I've drooled over the Ironhorses. Talked to the dealer today and the base triketrailer is around $8600. The wide version is about $500 more. The Kendon's are around $4500 and I can store it upright.

Getting the "right sized" trailer for a bike (or trike) and that is also compatible with your vehicle sometimes takes compromising if you're driving a smaller vehicle.

With a 1200# Tri-Glide the smallest trailer that I would consider would have to be 10' long and if it was an open trailer it would have to be at least 6' wide and it would have to be aluminum to meet the weight specifications that you need

I talked with a guy that worked at a dealership that sold the Iron Horse enclosed "clam-shell" trailers and he said that he hardly knew it was behind him and when he was towing it with an import SUV with a V-6 engine. I'm not sure if they make one of those trailers for a trike but I do know that they make one for two bikes.

I currently have a h-d flatbed landscape trailer set up to haul 4 bikes but I'd like to get an aluminum V-nose, enclosed snowmobile trailer with tandem axles, drop=down doors and about 7'x19' in size that would haul two trikes (or bikes) in-line and also for more security and protection for the bikes when traveling but the price of the aluminum vs steel is a big consideration due to price.

I have a diesel and can easily tow either but I'd have to do a LOT of towing in order to justify purchasing an aluminum trailer for the number of times (and years) that I would/be able to use it.

if you can only pull 2,000 lbs…that pretty much eliminated an enclosed trailer.
