They ain't better or worse than a trike, they're just different.
You're exactly right on both statements. I put 6k on a FW in 3 months. That includes Tail of the Dragon and Back of the Dragon. No good pics on the Tail. I was up the guys *** in front of me. Those bike have a **** ton of snot. Tried doing a burnout and it lifted the front-end right up. That 114 on the FW is a hoot.

Not sure why anyone would be pissed, who cares what you ride. Sling shot is not a real trike it's only classified that due to impact failures in side collisions. That's inexperienced riders. Not the trike. If that was the case sell your bike. There's way more accidents on 2 wheelers than 3 wheelers.

Our dealership had a **** head salesman. Sold a TriGlide to a guy that never rode one. Within 70 miles the bike was in a ditch. He said it didn't turn. It just went straight. 😳 Not the trikes fault. He did what my wife first did trying a Freewheeler. He leaned and that was it. Don't work like that.

I have owned both 2 Tri's and now a Freewheeler. For a solo rider I think the FW is the best choice. It has more get up and go than I need. Also I don't have to worry about it going up in flames like the Can-Am's.
I doubt if you could find the statistics you would find 3 wheeler riders have more accidents than 2 wheels. It is about the rider/driver no matter what vehicle we talk about as the main problem in an accident.

That was my first thought, as well.

Glad you took it the way I intended!

I like modified motorcycles more than modified snow mobiles, thanks.

There are many ways to mod trikes, some good and some not so good. Although I’m on a tri, one of mods I like the look of is the wide tire kit for the FW. Great example of it on trike talk in the FW section under Blue Bee thread. The only thing I really don’t care for on the FW is the rear fenders, but that’s just me, lol.

Well, age is a relative thing. I ride with a couple of 72 year old guys both on two wheels. Both ride well. I'm 75 and didn't start riding until I was 73. I went with a trike for obvious reasons. I took no formal "lessons" and feel I ride safely without any issues so far. So, I would say keep riding on the two wheeler unless (until?) you no longer feel safe or competent. Just my 2¢.

I was going to build a trike back in 2015 when i needed one. But to tell you the truth i don't think that 80 inch evo engine would have had enough get up and go to haul the weight around. I decided on a Tri-Glide and never looked back. Feels like a 2 wheeler until i get in the turns and that's when you can leave everyone behind. It does handle different and the ride is different, but nothing you can not get use to. I was really surpised at how well it handled and stopped.
Cam Am's have had quality issues for years and that Sling Shot thing is no where like riding a motorcycle. I wanted something that still felt like a motorcycle and got it with the Tri.
To each their own though.
