I think everything is legit here. First time rider, first time forum member etc,etc.....

When the front end comes up especially with someone not experienced with a wheelie the response is to grab the bars with everything you have ! In doing so you can twist the throttle wide open especially in a left turn where the reach is already at a stretch point.

As far as the wheel hopping, the rear end in a turn will let one wheel rotate free for at least part of a rotation. Then alternating traction from wheel to wheel creating the back and forth action. Again in a left turn the weight is off the left wheel and if any gravel is present will help things to spin . If anything grabs traction up goes the front end and back you go in the seat and more twisting of the throttle you cant let go fast enough. And if that does happen fighting a wheelie in a turn on a trike is not good. Especially with a new rider.

I doubt they will find anything wrong with the trike. Left turn, gravel, No clutch, lots of power, and a new rider. And things happening within a few seconds.

My recommendation : Get the front end raked for steering ease and put on narrower bars for reach.

Just my opinion.......
