When I first bought the Trike (2017), an incoming text would show on my screen. Now, the user gets an auto-generated message but I never know the text has come.
Apparently there is a setting for this. Can someone point me in the right direction?

regardless, I run a business and I need to see when one of my clients is trying to contact me.

I also noticed that I can no longer import contacts from my phone. The option to refresh from phone no longer appears. I am on the latest Boom version.
My phone is the Pixel3XL

Though the Boom tells me it is reading the contacts from my phone, they do not match what I have on my phone.

 

I'm going to guess and say the issue is in the phone not the Boombox. You probably have gotten a update the turned on the not while driving feature. I know my wife's iPhone 8 does this. Have you tried to update your contacts while parked?

 

Not trying to be a smartass - if and when you get the system working to your liking, stop doing updates. I finally got fed up losing features and/or needing to reinstall info.

 

I also have the Pixel 3XL, and noticed that my notifications on Boom disappeared with this phone after it had worked fine with my previous phone. Check this: when you have the bike and phone paired go to Settings --> COM --> SOS. If SOS is greyed out (like mine was), you need to go to your phone and confirm that it's ok for Boom to access messages (should have a popup on your phone screen for this). That fixed it.
