Default First extended ride on 2019 Triglide

It was only a couple hours around town cuz it was only 45 degrees out, but I finally got a chance to ride the darned thing. Hit a couple curbs on right turns early on, but learned quick. First bunch of turns were much wider than I had anticipated. Took a while to take it a bit slower and muscle it around instead of leaning through and countersteering. I was surprised how bumpy it was, felt them all. May have to adjust the rear shocks. Had a good time, but it was much different from my Street Glide. Taking it to Fond du lac, Wi tomorrow about 20 miles away for a meet and greet with a new lady. It's also where the dealership is where I bought it. going to get some foot pedals and other controls to customize it a bit. I think I'm going with the Streamliner series. I liked them on my SG. It's finally getting warmer. Time to put some miles on!!!

You may first want to try setting your rear tire PSI at 22-23 lbs and they "toying" with your shocks.

With a trike, it's difficult to miss some potholes and bumps so getting your tires and suspension set for you will make a difference.

One thing that I found hard to adjust to was riding in the MIDDLE of my lane!
I've always rode to the left-of-center when I ride by myself or even with another bike but in curves I still gravitate towards inside a bit.
I only managed to get a 1166 miles on my '18 last year but I'm hoping to do much better this season and I'm constantly "accessorizing" and "modifying" my trike to fit me and to satisfy my wants and needs.

Get a backrest if you don't have one. It will help with the leverage in turning. Also, push your inside knee against the gas tank when turning. Helps staying in the seat and also provides leverage. Remember, no counter-steering on a trike. Push right, go left! Nice looking bike.

I set the rear at 10 on the shocks and it seems good,I'm gonna change the bars to Krome Works 2+2 Narrow Sweepers next week.

Great that it is warming up a bit and you get to get out and ride the new Tri- Yep, they're a bit different, but you'll have it down in no time.

Ditto on lowering rear tire PSI to 22 and also play around with the shock setting ( without regard for the setting HD recommends...you will know when it's the smoothest). The '19's are much better stock then the previous years...without aftermarket will never be a smooth ride, but you should be able to find a sweet spot that does not beat you up too bad.
