On my2012 Tri-glide I installed LED headlight, LED running lights and switch to keep running lights on with bright light. Now I have static on radio . I unplugged Led head light and static goes away .So does anyone have a fix for this???
I've heard of this before. You did not mention what brand of light you bought. I wonder if the light you chose was one that did not have the proper electronics to prevent this issue. I suspect it was not the Harley brand possibly. An aftermarket light on an older bike MAY be the issue.
Ahhhh just as I suspected. I think my initial suggestion may well be the issue. I'm not sure there is a cure unless you can buy some electronic add on item from the manufacturer of the headlight to eliminate the static. Try contacting the company that made the headlight and explain your issue with it.
I had the same problem when I replaced the OEM halogen bulbs by LED bulbs. I couldn't find a solution to the problem plus the noise of the fan in the headlight bulb humming constantly got on my nerves so I bought real LED lights (not just the bulbs) and everything is fine now.
LED lights are much more expensive than LED bulbs but I'll just say, you get what you pay for. Lesson learned as far as I'm concerned.
Good luck.
I'm loving the light I get from the LED bulbs in the headlight and the running lights , Was hoping there was a fix for this problem .Guess I'll be listening to more CD's until I can afford Lights or someone comes up with a fix
I installed Cree LED lamps, you need to put ferite cores on the power cord for each lamp, that will fix the issue. Electronic stores may have them, Or radio shack online.

How are these ferite cores installed? There is not a whole lot of room behind those passing lights with these LED's.
Thanks,
John
