Default H-D factory tour

We had a great day of riding to the H-D factory in York, Pa. We went with a group of 25 riders, starting from the dealership in NJ. A few stops along the way. It seems that some people didn't fill their gas tanks before leaving. Oh well, pit stops are a necessary thing some times.

A self guided tour of the factory was interesting. Seeing the touring bikes being built and talking to some of the employees made the tour more fun.

It is well worth the cost to take the "steel toe" tour. You see a lot of things that are not included in the regular tour

Been on that tour a couple of times over the years. As bronxbill said, the "Steel Toe Tour" is the way to go. Don't bother going in July or early Aug as the tours are limited to certain areas because the next year models are being built and they won't let you see them.

I toured the Coors brewery a few times when I lived in Colorado. At the conclusion of the tour, Coors would give you a few samples. Would be nice if...

I will be riding out within the a year. I just spoke to a relative that lives in York yesterday. Of course we got to talking about... he invited me and the wife to come visit and take a tour with him while we are there.

My wife and I go every year ~ we try several models with no salespeople asking "How was it?" when you come back.

I have not been to the York PA plant since 1995. I am curious how much it has changed? I now live in WI and know the plants here have change tremendously over the years.
