Default 2011 xxx

Good morning all, I am wondering if anyone could give me some info on the 2011 triple x streetglide trike?
My local dealer has one, which I really like the looks of, but seems to be way over priced. It books for $17,730 and they will not budge from $24995.
I was wondering if someone that owns one could tell me about these bikes.
I'm new to trikes, but long time ultra owner.
Recent shoulder surgery has changed my future riding choice.
Thanks for any input on this.

I just bought a 2013 Tri Glide, prices are high for them due to that used Trikes are hard to find. With prices for new one in the upper 38,000 range, this help drive up the cost of the used ones. Since the streetglide models are stripped down Tri Glides for that price I would look for a triglide with all the creature comforts

That is my thought also, I thought a stripped down bike wouldnt be so pricey.
I had never seen a XXX before so it was interesting at first.

For about Two/Three grand more you could get a new 2017 freewheeler....

FLHXXX's are cool trikes for those that like that style but that price is a little ridiculous.
How long has it been for sale?

Run, very fast away from this stealership. They are trying to take you to the cleaners. I had a 2011 XXX up until 5 months ago and I traded it in for $17,950. I bought my XXX new in 2011 for around 27K. Your dealer is trying to make 6 grand or so on this sale. There's no way in hell a 6 year old XXX is worth $24,995. Additionally, the XXX runs hot as hell. I'd spring for something watercooled (TG) before I'd buy the XXX.

i have one,its a stripped down tg..no tour pak or rear speakers..kbb says trade in is $17400...retail is $22255,so they can drop the price or i would keep looking ....all these things run hot stock....with just having had shoulder surgery not sure your doing yourself any favors with one, test drive it and you'll see what i mean, good luck

Thanks for the reply, the one I was looking at had the tour pack on it.
I have decided to keep looking, but it was appealing to have a trike that wasn't the run of the mill TG.

new freewheeler for that kind of money. you can always add a fairing with a radio if you want.

The orange trike in my avatar is a XXX with a paint matched tourpak. It still shouldn't cost that much. If I were you, I'd look at a used TG (watercooled) or a new freewheeler. The Freewheeler is as close as you can get to the XXX. The main differences are no fairing, no radio/CD player, and less trunk space. I loved my XXX when I was riding around the city or on short country roads, but on long hauls I prefer the comfort of a TG. Another thing to look at is warranty. At 6 years old, that XXX is no longer under warranty and it will eventually start costing an arm and leg to repair major items that break or wear out.

Just my two cents as a previous owner of a XXX (and current TG owner)....

Bubba
