Default 09 TriGlide cylinder heat motor mount ??

Noticed weird vibration while out riding. Got home and looked things over. Front cylinder head motor mount mustve either come loose or something and snapped the bolt head off on right side and bolt was loose on left side. Was able to drill snapped one out of head and it spun right out. Went and got new bolts and washers and put them in tightened them up and went over other engine mount bolts and tightened them up. Didnt have a service manual but do have parts manual. Noticed there werent lock washers specified for the bolts just flat washers. Anyway thought everything was fine for a few days then today started the weird vibe again. Checked same bolts and one was backed out halfway and the other was loose again.
Should these bolts have loctite/hitemp on them? Didnt seem to be any on the ones I took out and as I said no type of lock washer. Can someone tell me the tourqe spec? Any reason these would come loose. Never had that happen on my 07 or 11 EG.

Very common on the Tri-Glide's....I solved the problem on my 11 Tri, i replaced the stock bolts with #8 full threaded bolts and #268 Stick loctite...

Ok...thanks for the info. Any idea why this happens? Glad we could get the bolt out of the head easy without dissasembly because it was snapped off about an 1/8" down inside the head.

Poor design,...Also did you but back the thick spacers..Sometimes when the bolt snaps [Guillotines] the spacer is lost....

Just for everyones info....Even though the M8 has a slightly different setup, Harley recommends checking them every 5k.....There was no such recommendation with my 11 Tri-Glide- :So evidently Harley finely figured it out. Thanks to their research and development dept..

i wonder if keeping them tight well keep them from breaking off ? does anyone know what size these bolts are ? gonna pick up a couple grade 8's and have them here, along with a set of left hand drill bits (i love tools).

I just took one of the stock bolts to my local hardware store and matched a #8 full treaded bolt to it, 9/16 head... The stock bolt isn't full thread and i think it will shoulder up...Then i used #268 stick loctite, I put over 10 thousand miles after that and they never loosen.. And at least on mine, The bolt didn't brake , The tie-link mount when the bolts loosened, Guillotined the head off the bolt when i hit a deep pot hole with the front tire....

You can find them for less. They are sold by Comp Cams.
