Default Tank Lift Install question

Bit confused. Got this tank lift like in the pic...So do I put one of those braces on each side of the front of the tank? Nothing goes on the back? I have a 2017 Tri Glide.

Yes, one on each side of the tank in the front.

If you had bought from DK Customs, you would have gotten a better lift plus instructions!! IMHO

Yes, one on each side on the front. For the rear, unless they also carry a rear lift bracket, you have nothing to do except loosen the bolt to raise the front and mount your 2 brackets. Once it's done, re-tighten the rear bolt.

Last time I installed a lift it went in the back but that was 10 years ago. I guess things have changed. That was on a ST though. Seat didn't go over the tank so that could make a difference.

you can see the spacer right above the mid frame air deflector

The lift helps with cooling motor as well as cleaning the rocker covers and it looks great with the lift.

right after tank lift installed before upgraded air intake Boyesen X force

Rear of the tank could also be raised with an 1/2" spacer or several flat washers and a longer bolt of same size. My tank lift kit came with them from DK Customs, but I'm sure you can fix your own here is a pic of my mine

One of those plates on each side up front. The other option of the rear some people don't want. If you do want the rear raised, go to a hardware store and you can find 1/2" tall spacers. Get longer bolts and that is all you need for the rear lift.
I got mine at a farm store & they even had chrome. All total cost about $4.00.
The hoses you most likely wont need. They are for the fuel if you end up with short lines.

I didn't care for the rear tank lift exposing the frame above the air deflector.
