Default Avon front tire??

Going to have to replace my front tire soon. How are the Avons holding up? Dealer said they are roughly $50 less than going with an American Elite rear (this would be mounted reverse). Looking for info to help me decide.
thanks

I don't have a lot of miles on my Avon, but so far I think it's great. Run it at 38-40#psi.

Have 3,500 on mine and running 40 psi. Tire runs true and no trouble with rain, stopping or handling.

I've got about 9,400 miles on mine. It started out as 11/32 tread depth and is now between 8/32 and 9/32 depending on where I measure in the tread.
I am very happy with the performance in wet and dry conditions. I run at 38 PSI.

That sounds pretty good. I have 12,000 m on mine and about 2/32 left. I don't recall what the stock dunny started with, but I know it was no where near 11/32. Leaning to the Avon at this point.
