Also, you could consider the Freewheeler. More sporty looking than the Triglide. I am still getting used to mine. Right now, too many bitter cold days for much riding. The wife likes it too.

Cancer took wife off her Deluxe and on to a Tri-Glide in '09, heart work got me off my Ultra in '11. My advise, DO NOT take a test drive in the parking lot then drop 30 or 40 grand on a toy. Spend a couple hundred and rent one. 100 people are going to tell you 100 things. Look at the number of trikes with very low mileage people are selling because they jumped in and bought one. Wife and I would still be on 2 wheels if we could, but trikes are one hell of a great alternative to a rocking chair. Good Luck!

Thanks guys for the responses. Have a test ride scheduled this week. May be a new tri glide owner soon!

I had mine now for 2 years. 66 Years old and a Hip Replacement. Love it but it takes a bit getting used 2. Still miss 2 wheels but this makes up for it.

My wife and I LOVE our 2016 Tri Glide. We had an Ultra and I let it fall a couple of times. No damage but the wife said she didn't feel safe. We took it to Mt. Rushmore, put over 1,000 miles on it over a long weekend and loved every minute. Good luck.

What has been said is all good advise, especially getting a long test ride or a half day rental. If you like it then go for it! The only thing I sometimes miss is leaning in curves on 2 wheels, BUT, to me, everything else favors the trike at this point in my lift (69 yrs next month).
Keep in mind, that your test ride on a stock trike, can be improved as most of us here have done to some degree or other. Trike is it's pwn kind of fun!
Good luck to you.

As others said...rent one for at least a fill day. Put on at least 200 miles on varying road types. Some dealers rent them. But, definitely Eaglerider rents them. It's worth the cost to travel to an Eagle rider dealer, to get a real world feel.

Best of luck with the test ride, I don't think you'll be disappointed but I'm definitely in the camp of riding one for a good, long ride so after test riding maybe rent one for a day or two. Enjoy and be sure to let us all know what you think (and do)!

I put a little over 400 miles the first day I bought mine the first 200 miles I thought I made a mistake after that I got the hang of it and I love it more everyday I get to ride.

i did a long demo on a triglide, the I MADE THE MISTAKE OF DEMOING A CONVERSION, the independent suspension and longer wheel base sold me. there are other pros as well as cons but for me aftermarket was a clear winner.
