If you have enough pressure to start activating the brakes, then that should be enough pressure to make the brake light come on.
My 2009 FLHTCU had 3 rear brake light switches replaced in 5 years and that was before the cat was in the headpipe causing more heat.

which is exactly my problem. My legs are a tad short so I have to scoot forward to really press down on it.

The problem is with all this finding the sweet spot for the brake being applied just enough to start the bike .Is the person is in a panic due to stalling . .
I'm surprised that someone not during the Moto co to put an automatic transmission in .So they don't have to learn how to use the clutch. Take the time and get familiar with your new to you whatever . .
I have read on post about how a trike a is so different then a motorcycle. Yes it is . Just a suggestion. Most Harley dealers have a riding academy.ask to use the space to get familiar with your new purchase. Or have it delivered and ride around your neighborhood. This is what I did when teaching the ex to ride. Even as she got a different bike we went around the neighborhood to get familiar with the bike before heading out on the open road. .

Then why use a soft Brake? I thought they were designed for people who need more legroom?

Good question. I thought it would give me a little more room on the floorboard. It does. The drawback is I have to slide forward to use it which is not good. It will be coming off once it warms up so I can go to my indie and have the OE pedal put back on.

Mikey, can you not "build up" the rubber pad, thus leaving your foot room as it is, but making the pedal reachable?

Sadly, no. The other issue I've discovered is that in order for my boot to stay behind the right lower in wet weather, I have to let my boot rest on the pedal. I am constantly looking in the mirrors to see if my brake strobes have activated when I have to ride like that. I am one of the lucky ones that can get my boot under the stock pedal.

Default You dont need to stop or even slow down.
