Default Alarm

My TG has the security, as anyone installed an siren on their trike?
I have a Radio Shack siren that I was going to install on my two wheel Ultra and wondered if it would work or be worth it to install it on the trike. Audible siren.

Thanks all

Is the Radio Shack siren plug and play, or is modification of wiring involved?

you just need to stick the red from the siren into the red from the bikes and the black froim the siren to the middle spot on the bikes plug. no big deal at all. holdthem in place and reinstall the plug into the dummy hole. do a search on here . lots of threads about it.

I have read the threads, where I got the RS idea. Just wondering if it was worth it on the trike. With the TG sitting upright wondering how much movement it will take to set the alarm off.....

I can tell you if you haul your TG for 3 or 4 days in a enclosed trailer without putting the alarm in "transport" mode your battery will be completely dead. So I would assume that movement will constantly set the alarm off even though it is a trike.

Mine goes off if I shake the trike to get a good fill in the gas tank.

Yep, alarm is triggered by the sensor on the front of the battery tray not the siren. Therefore the siren does not add any extra load on the battery until sensor sets off alarm.

it's not as touchy as a two wheeler that's for sure, but works well.

That's for sure, I used to push my 2010 all over the garage and driveway without a single noise from the alarm.
