Default Spare battery ? Crazy or what

2014 Tri Glide
Original battery.
It turns over but has hesitation and It worries me.

Am I crazy to put my new battery I just bought in the trunk and just carry it with me just in case I ever need it?

Some sort of container to make sure it stays upright and a couple tools to replace it .

Is this just crazy talk or what ?

If you don't trust your battery, why not just change it and be done with it.

If the bike is still under warranty why not get it replaced that way.

Think of it this way, do you carry a spare battery in your cage?

Are you using your ride frequently? If not, that maybe your problem, I would then suggest the use of a battery tender...

This certainly isn't my idea but have been using something like this for years.

Takes up very little room and not only will crank a bike but will charge phones and laptops when away from an outlet.

Just for grins I took mine and cold cranked a Benz diesel three times and still had power left in the portable booster. I keep one in my truck and another in my trike. Will stay charged for a year or longer. Can recharge it while driving using a 12v adapter.

Make a cable for your battery tender plug and you're all set.

If:
- you put your battery on a tender after each ride
- you start in neutral

And:
- you still think your battery acts weak

Then:
- replace that sucker!!!

If all connections are clean and tight? Battery passes a load test? Just carry a portable jump pack like Wiz posted above. Even though I have a fairly new battery - I carry the NOCO GB40 in both cages and my bike.
