placing trike on jackstands

It would pretty easy, you can use a scissors jack like used on a table lift. Place the jack under the heavy plate located below the oil pan on the transmission. Tie the front wheel down with a strap connected to a couple anchor bolts in the floor, this keeps the front end from coming up.

Since I work on a table lift the majority of the time. I clamp the front tire in the chock and strap it for good measure. Unless something has changed, Harley recommends you strap the front end and jack in the area I mentioned, in the owners manual.
