Anybody use a GoPro???
Ok, I have a GoPro, never really used the thing but want to start playing with it on some of our more interesting trips.
Looking for mounting ideas, helmet mount is out.
Thinking about this one from Leader, http://www.leadermotorcycle.com/gopr...r-stem-chrome/
Quite pricey to play with but good reviews also.
Ideas anyone?????
TIA

hogowner, looked around a bit but not much. Have a friend with an Ultra who tried mounting to the highway bars but there was way too much vibration.
wijr, that's exactly what I'm looking into. I have seen a few mounts, store bought and home made, that use a viscous dampening mechanism but they have all been on sport bikes or commercial applications. Also very pricey, even with the home made ones it would be easy to tie up several hundred dollars in experimentation materials.
The Leader mount I posted, although pricey, does have some degree of dampening built in.
Think I will post this over in the Touring forum and see if anyone has ideas.

Raxus, sometimes we have helmets on, sometimes not. Even with a helmet, I don't think I could stand the gopro on there for very long. I have had to wear a hard hat with one attached for work purposes and it was a PITA. Not to mention, I don't want the mount permanently stuck to my Bell helmet.
I did find this site, http://hogtagcollar.com/products from some guys over in the touring forum. It shows promise and at $30, not bad on the wallet for an experiment.

www.hogtagcollar.com They sell a fork mount that does not allow the gopro to vibrate at all. And they also have an adjustable mount to mount to the crash bars or handlebars. For me this is not an experiment. I have used the fork mount on my gopro many times and love it!
