10 day 600 mile observations
Backround: No previous road bike experience, lots of dirt bike.
Have had the tri-glide for 10 days and have loved every minute on it.
Very few things I can find fault with. This thing handles like it is on rails.
The only thing I can compare it to in that respect is a snowmobile with very good skis. It goes where you point it, right now.
The brakes on it are unbelieveable. It can stop very fast if needed without locking up, just fantastic.
The ride is fair but around here the roads are junk and haven't played around much with the shocks
I did have to put a taller winshield on it as my teeth hurt from the buffetting but I am 6'3 so that may be part of the problem. Need to get some highway pegs also as there is very little room to move my size 12's around.
Have had the wife on the back for a while and could only tell she was there when braking as she would move forward. Power is so so and will probably have to do something about it later. Can't leave anything alone.
Very happy with it and don't regret the purchase.

Sweet! Glad you're enjoying it.
Some of my modifications that have made ours better for us.
DK lift kit. Made the TG ride smoother and handle easier for me, my opinion.
Rear bumper ( should be stock)
Highway pegs a must
Shorter windshield for me but I'm 5'7"
Drivers backrest
Chrome, never enough
Future adds:
FullSac header for heat reduction
TTS tuner and cams for performance

Congratulations!
Glad you are enjoying it. When I first rode a TG a few years ago, the #1 thing that impressed me was how well it handled the curves.
Besides highway pegs, you will get a bit more room/comfort by installing floorboard extensions. These move the floorboards out from the engine an inch. It does not sound like much, but once you've tried them you'll be amazed how much more comfortable it is.
You can see them HERE.

Do the extension lower the weight capacity to the point of not bring able to use them to mount the machine. Weight capacity with extensions?
Congratulations!

Welcome to the club!
Interesting seeing your perspective not coming from a road bike background. I see a lot of folks on here saying how much they like about their trikes (like me), but you are absolutely correct about the handling. Sometimes I think that part gets forgotten; the darned things just do exactly what you tell them to with very few surprises.
Can't remember the last time anyone complained about anything to do with handling once they got the hang of it. That's unusual for any vehicle.
Enjoy!
