Thumbs up LED Lighting

First time out with LED lights at night. Wow!!! what a difference we sure light those truck lites LED's. We stayed off the highways before I could not see I have the starts of as my grandson says Cadillac's in both eyes. With the LED headlight and spot lamps we will be slowly cruising at night now. If you have not upgraded headlights and spot lamps you need to think about it. .......ride safely at night Fearless

I love the lights on my 2015 tri really light up the road. One thing I do not understand is why do they make the driving lights go off when you turn on the high beam? I would think at that point you would want as much light as possible.

I currently have a 2014 TriGlide and had a 2012 TriGlide before which I added the LED lights. When the LED lights were installed on the 2012, I had them wire it so the driving lights (also referred to as spot lamps) would stay on. What I found was that at night, going around semis especially, it was to bright in their side mirrors. Appeared to me that with bright light on with the driving lights was to bright when nearing the vehicles, especially when coming from behind.

Could the aux lights be wired so they are only on when high beam is on? This fall I am planning on getting a set of HD LED light (3) and was thinking of having them installed like this. Is it a hard wire or download?

When I had the 2012 triglide done, it was a hard wire job by the Harley shop. They installed the LED lights for me. I could turn them off by one the lower switches below the radio. I guess those are called auxiliary switches????

But I didn't like having to move my hand off the grips to change the light, so I usually just left them on. Also, I didn't really do that much night riding.

0n my 2014 triglide, I find the stock LED setup very nice. No need to change them.

I had the 2012 set up that way due to a recommendation of one of the mechanics. Sounded good to me at the time.

2013 should be a hardwired change. They went to computer in '14my.
They are wired so you have to either turn them on or off with the switch. You decide when they are on. High beam or low beam, it doesn't matter.
