Default Bow Lake on the Icefields Parkway

A pic Mary got while riding the Icefields Parkway. Bow Lake and one of the glaciers that feeds it.

Beautiful photo. I have to admit, though, I had to do a little research to find out where the Icefields Parkway is. Looks like another great place that I have to go to.

Default Hope to see in person

Kevin My friend and I are planning on leaving the 25th of June for 35 days to Alaska and back. Will take the ice fields highway. Hope the weather is as good as it seems to be in your picture. Joe

That is going to be a trip to remember! I'm told the weather varies hour to hour. When we were on the Icefields Parkway a couple of years ago, later in the summer, it was 30* colder.

Unsolicited recommendation for your Alaska trip. Try and take the Cassiar Highway to Stewart, cross over into Hyder and go to the Forestry Bear Viewing, and then up the road 17 miles (on gravel) is a Glacier.

Have fun!!!!

Was there a few years back in early Sept, but the weather turned and we had to leave before seeing much. Finally made it back last week. Beautiful area, and the water color of the glacier lakes was jaw dropping..
