Default Another Handle Bar Question

Looking to change out my stock bars for the Twin Peak 10" bars and wondering about the welds at the 1" sections.

Does anyone think there would be concern of the welds breaking at these areas because of the extra pressure of the steering on the Trike vs the 2 wheelers?

No concern what so ever! These bars are stronger than OEM in my observations.

Good to know. I am thinking about 12 inch bars of this variety myself. Just have to figure out if they fit the freewheeler.

Had them on my Bagger and liked them. Wondered if you get enough leverage for a trike?

I have found them better than stock because they are a little wider. My only caution would be for anyone with shorter posture / arms. When you turn full turn it may be a reach. I am 6' and long arms, and in full turn I am at full extension. Now I could have pulled them back a bit more, but needed clearance for the tank with a 1 1/2 inch tank lift.

Thanks for the info FusionFool. I liked the stock bars when I had the stock seat on, because my arms were level and made steering much easier than on my previous '12 Tri. When I installed my Road Zeppelin seat it raised me about 2" and put the arms at a downward angle, making steering in the curves a little stiffer.

I am like you 6' with 34" arms.

Did you do the install yourself? If so, was running the wiring internally difficult?

Could someone drop a couple of pics with these bars mounted? I'm 6'2 and want to move up maybe 2" over stock?

I did not install myself, dealer had a special and free install. Nothing extra required, they used stock clutch cable and wires.

here is a write up with photos showing them being installed on a fairing bike so some won't matter but it does show how to do the wiring.
Just scroll down
