Default What is the size are the lug nuts?

Anyone one know what is the size of the rear wheel lug nuts on the Tri Glide? Unable to find anything in the service manual. I know the torque is around 100 ft/lbs.

Can't you put a socket on one until it fits snug??

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but, if you can't figure out the size of your trikes lug nuts, should you be doing any wrenching on your machine???

What

Oh, and by the way, proper torque should be 85-90 ft lbs.

By your answer, I see you do not know the size either.

At one point in my growing up, I didn't have the money for a full socket set. Just bought what I needed, when I needed it. Might be the case here also. Not judging anybody, just thought we were here to help other riders!!!

Socket size 3/4" deep well, standard wall thickness. Use an 8" extension to keep you from scaring up your fenders with your torque wrench handle.
Torque should be 95# to 100# I set mine at 95# as not to over stress the bolts. I also use anti-seize on the bolts.
If you have them loose torque once, then torque again in 200mi.

Smile Guy....

Like I stated originally, " I'm not trying to be mean...", and I truly wasn't trying to be mean. I was only trying to point out that some folks just aren't very mechanically inclined and maybe shouldn't be wrenching on critical fasteners on their bikes, especially if they don't possess even the most basic knowledge. If you are interested in learning how to work on your bike, maybe you could find a friend who knows his ( or her )way around bikes to show you the ropes. I don't want to sound like a dick, but, there was a discussion on this forum awhile back about wheels falling off.
And, yes, I do know the size of the lug nuts, and if I didn't, I would know how to measure them.
