When I was in the new car business I loved recalls. The whole idea of advertising is to bring people to your place of business but advertising is costly. Recalls brought people into the dealership and while there, many browsed the inventory. Sold a lot of cars to people who just came in to have their recall taken care of.

Got my clutch recall notification today but it's going to have to wait until at least when we get back from Thunder Beach. Leaving for PCB Wednesday morning. May have to wait even longer, I'm on a major USAF project and there's a good chance I will have to head out for work right after I get back...
Really wish I had a dealer closer than an hour away. It's almost impossible for me to get there during the week and their Saturdays book up weeks in advance.

I have no issues with the recalls sure glad HD is on top of the issues these days. Been riding Harleys since 1976. I can tell you about the night mares I had with two new bikes I purchased in the 80's First an 81 Super Glide, which had the battery blow up on it on the way home from the dealer, Then my 1983 FHL that leaked fluid on my dry cluch plates making them slip. I had no help from the local dealers or HD until I had a lawyer contact them. But I still ride Harleys!!!! and very happy with the new bikes ( prior 2015) except they just don't fit me like my 1983 FLH fit
