Default FLHXXX being discontinued beginning 2012

In case anyone doesn't read the general section, of the three models being discontinued, the street glide trike is one of them.

As a result of our most recent review, we are announcing the discontinuation of three motorcycles for the 2012MY for all sales markets worldwide. The models listed below will no longer be in production beginning with the 2012MY:

* FXCWC Softail® Rocker™ C
* FLSTSB Softail® Cross Bones®
* FLHXXX Street Glide® Trike

Default Sales?

I hear sales for that model were kind of anemic. I never much cared for it. A friend of mine bought one and I always felt is was just a stripped down Tri that still cost to much for what you got.

Wish they'd kept the Deuce! The Rocker as a replacement never much appealed to me. I wonder if they will have a raked, fat rear tire softtail for 2012?

Doesn't surprise me. Most of the sales man I talked to said they had a heck of a time selling them, most people spend the extra money and bought the loaded Ultra.

A trike version of the softail would in my opinion sell well, might do the Sportster first for an entry level. It will depend on how they price it. I believe the demand is there if HD don't get crazy with the sticker.

It doesn’t surprise me that they are discontinuing the Street Glide Tri-Glide; I always thought that it was over priced and that you got much more bag for your buck with the Ultra Tri-Glide.

As others have stated, I think that a reasonably priced Sportster would be a hot seller.
