Default HD Mini Apes

I need higher bars on my `15 Tri Glide. Trike is at the dealer now for Progressive Monotube installation and thought it might be a good time to do it all. I am 6 tall with a long sleeve length of 36-37". Has anyone had the HD Mini Apes installed and what do you think of them?

Default Switched to Khrome Werks 2+2 WIDE SWEEPERS

Mini apes may not be high enough that is what they have on Freewheelers sit on one and see. My 2+2 are perfect for me I'm 5'8". Bars are a personnel thing what works for one may not work for another. You are right now is the time to switch if you are going to do it. ride safely fearless

I looked at the HD mini apes, but ended up going with the 10" Twin Peaks. I am 6' 1" and like them a lot. Perfect for my reach though.

I've had thoughts of the 2+2s. Fearless, can you tell me what else was needed for installation?

Default Shop manual Touring

I would not attempt without shop manual, Understand 3" longer clutch cable needed with wide ones. That being said you must remove mufflers, head pipe to get clutch cable changed, you will need new exhaust gaskets. You need to remove front of batwing to take out radio (must have ball end allen's to get it) remove lower inner switch panel as well as ignition switch take pictures lots of them. This is not hard work just take time I did it any one that can change spark plugs can switch bars. Videos out there and people on forums like this one willing to help. the details take your time it can be done All other wires TBW, lights brake hoses all were plenty long on my 09 can't say about any other models. fearless

PM me with any questions be glad to help.

Fearless, thanks for the reply. After I got mine I had to tighten the bars, so I've been through some of this. Glad to hear all that's needed for swap is clutch cable and gaskets. I'm 5'9 so now I think I'll do this.

it's not hard just pay attention to details. TBW sensor is very touchy, all other wires I left as factory out side the bars good enough for OEM good enough for me. Old shiney is not for show it's for go. good luck any problems PM me I will help as much as possible. fearless

Default handle bars

you might try chubby bars. I have 10" bagger apes didn't have to change the brake or clutch hoses. Did the work by myself.
