Oil cooler fans
Hey guys,I was just wondering how effective are these oil cooler fans that I came across on Ebay.Or have you even heard of one?has anybody here ever used one?I live in a tropical country and the temperatures can run up to well over 100 degrees and if it's really an advantage and not a major problem fitting,I may consider it.Here's a link to the Ebay site and A video demonstrating it's effectiveness.Let me know what's your take on it

I did some experimenting with oil cooler fans and if you want to see the results, look here... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...test-data.html
The benefits are there, but marginal in my opinion. I saw an 8 degree reduction in oil temp during my testing.
The video you posted can be misleading... He's measuring the front surface of the oil cooler fins. Of course they're going to cool dramatically when you start drawing cool air through the cooler, but don't be confused and think the fans are cooling the oil anywhere near what you see in that video.

Top of this page "Forums" hover, move down to "Harley Davidson Motorcycles" hover, mover right to "Touring Models" click. You may want to search the forum first as chances are you'll find your answer in a short read.
