I already have this part but have a question which may help others out.

How the hell did you get the (gas side) ring off the tank? I tried to re-position mine and that thing was like it was welded on. That's some sticky adhesive.

 

gas side ring has some really sticky stuff...had dealer do the install...removed with fine fishing line I was told...gas side trim ring still has sealant so you will be able to still attach to next tank...
