That's a ton of info Biker90,thanks...I'm an idiot when it comes to these things(a lot of things actually) so tell me,where and how do you install this load equalizer?is it another plug and play thingy?my tail lights are already LEDs so do I still need it?
HDogg; the load balancer's plug & play for touring bikes and I placed mine under the seat/strapped to backrest mount. See this thread...pics in post#3 has pics...
the little interface is 1.5" x 4" and has the wiring harness plug which connects directly to bike (snap-snap) and then run red to battery+ & black to battery- & done. Literally took 1-min to connect and that was taking my sweet time...enjoy!
I own these and love them. Guys these things are super bright with 96 leds in each pancake. You DO NOT want to look directly into them. They are plug and play as far as installing them. If you are not running 4 of them, I THINK you will not need a equalizer, at least mine didn't, but when I went all 4, the equalizer was needed. I bought mine when they first came out, and the cost was around $89.00 for the dual color, and $79.00 for the red only. This is a good deal, don't hesitate, you won't regret the purchase. (I put clear lenses all the way around, and it looks awesome plus makes them brighter) Everybody I know, after checking them out, are buying them...kinda sux in a way, cuz I kinda like having something unique.
Just my 2 cents.
I just bought the exact same ones as well as the rear from Custom Dynamics yesterday. Went buy their office and picked them up. $225 out the door for rear bullets, and the front with the ringz as well as smoked lenses for all four and the equalizers. Then when you look at the cost of the housings, sounds like a great deal
