If the seller of an item in the HDF Classifieds asks you to list the payment as "Gift" then you lose all protection through PayPal and you are giving up your rights to resolution.
The seller has to pay a fee if you use the standard reason and that is their responsibility, not yours. they should adjust the cost to cover that.
We have had several people ripped off lately due to this problem. Gift should only be used for trusted friends or family members, not strangers in a classified section.
HDF Classifieds is a "use at your own risk," "free to the members" section and we (HDF) are not responsible for any losses due to transaction problems.
