Exhaust trade? my Thunderheader for... what you got?
Hey people,
So, i just got my bike painted! It looks freaking amazing. The Thunderheader doesnt really add to the look though, you know what I mean? Take a look and see for yourself.
Anyways, I wanna throw on some chrome duals in there but funds are tight. So I propose a trade.
The Pipes are wrapped with that titanium heat wrapping (pricey!) so I'm asking an equal trade or 550.00 bucks for my pipe.
My bike is a 2011 Road Glide Custom (FLTRX) So your trade should fit my bike... just saying...
Thunderheader Model 1074B
Check it out here... http://www.thunderheader.net/1074b.htm

man there is no mistaking a thunderheader setup. My .02 would be to take them off, get rid of the wrap, get some TH shields, powdercoat it all black. I think that would look incredible against your bike. Good looking ride BTW.
There is a guy floating around here JRK5892 that does high heat powdercoating. Looks sharp...

I've only ran this type of exhaust wrapping so I couldn't compare it to any other kind. They keep heat down a bit but to be perfectly honest its not much of a difference from other wrapping that I've seen. Not sure of the brand. I threw the packaging out. I didn't have to wet it to put on and no... no silicone was used. I used hose clamps to hold them in place. I've put about 3,000 miles on the pipes with the wrapping and haven't had any problems with fraying or it coming apart.
Good questions man! A dude that knows what he's doing. Sweet.

Thanks for the heads up UltraNutz.
I dig the pipe. Makes my engine run at a lower RPM at cruising speed. Not a bad suggestion getting them powder coated with high temp paint... I could see how that would really shine.
I'm hoping to drop some fat spoke wheels soon and I feel like I'm going for more of an oldschool feel ya know? I got some nice pinstripes done with 14 inch apes. Chrome duals would really make my heart happy with it.
Keep hugging those turns man!

Some mexican dude makes emblems and ****. Cool dude... you gotta appreciate some guy making these in his back yard you know? Still, it was 15 bucks. I painted it black and stuck it on my fender.
