OK that was a long intro but I have several items I plan to list in the near future and wanted to provide as much feedback as possible

Anyway today Im selling my Corbin Hollywood Solo and Matching Pillion Pad. Im moving to the Classic Solo so I can use a back rest on longer trips

The seat looks great on the bike and is in very good shape. There is one spot on the right side seam that was recently restitched by Corbin but you can tell a repair was made. I tried to show it in the pics.

The set new would cost $520 plus shipping

shame corbin says it will only fit 2008's

 

Yea the 08 is a tweener year.

Ive heard people using them on other years as most aftermarket seats say 2008-2012 but Corbin sells theirs specifically for 2008.

Not sure what the major difference in the seats are between the 08 model and the 09-12 model. My buddy has an 09 Roadglide so if someone was interested I could install it on his bike to see how it fits

Up to a year or two ago, the Corbin's were made for 2008+, just like all the other seat manufacturers. Suddenly they changed the model numbers, and now have 2008 seats, and the 2009+ ones.

My theory is that their rubber bumpers were known for digging into the rear fenders. I think they modified something so they wouldn't do that, thus the new model numbers and year applications. As far as why there would be any difference in the fitment between a 2008 and a 2009+, maybe the 2009+ fenders are shaped slightly different since it's the first year with the bigger rear tire.

 

This seat needs to go, Ill listen to reasonable offers...
