Default Street Glide Gauges (6)

I have a set of Street Glide Gauges that come out of the wrecked 08 street glide Im asking $250.00 Shipped plus pay pal fees they are used bud no crackes and lenses are clean, need to furnish 158 bulbs fpr the 4 gauges as i think they removed them when they removed the gauges.I think the mileage is around 28k I did ask the dealer about reset and I was told that on the 08-12 the mileage is stored in the pcm and after 30 miles it will reset,I havent found anything on the internet to back that up so Im only going by the dealers word

That dealer if full of bull crap.

I had the orginal and then replace it with a silver faced gauge with 30k on it when mine had 4k and then found another silver faced with 9k omit and none ever changeed after any of the swap and they were on for hundreds of miles.

My search has revealed no speedo repair or dealer shop willing/able to perform only with a new ner dealer purchase.

I have heard the same info... except that the newest bikes(2011 or 2012's, not 2008, 2009 or 2010) store the mileage in the PCM that when you plug them in, the bike will set the odometer to what was previously stored on it. I will be contacting the dealer today and asking them when this changed and will older odometers be compatible with newer bikes..since mine is a 2011.

Sorry for thread jacking.... Bump for the OP and GLWS!

It's interesting how two people can ask Harley tech support the same question and get two different answers. Both my local dealer and tech support have told me that while the odometer can be re-flashed and set to a specific mileage, they told me that Harley won't actually do that on used gauges, just new ones purchased through Harley. I have no idea at this point which answer is correct...
