Motorcycle Art - 1965 Panhead
Limited Edition - Beautiful 16" x 20" art print of a 1965 Harley Panhead. Comes with a certificate of authenticity. $19.95 includes print, certificate & shipping. Makes a great gift for a buddy or yourself. Affordable art. Please PM me to order.
1965, the last year Harley-Davidson would make the motorcycle called the "Panhead". For eighteen years the Panhead lead the way. Seventy-Four cubic inches or raw power, a true American Classic.
In '65 an electric starter was added along with the change from a six volt system to a twelve volt system. Making starting the beast a little easier and creating the name "Electra-Glide". These motorcycles are highly cherished because they are so few. The last year of the Panhead and the first year of the electric start.
I created this portrait of the '65 Panhead in graphite (fancy wording for pencils) so I could capture the nostalgia of black & white images. I wanted the focus to be on the complete motorcycle and it's details, not colors or background. Many hours were spent achieving the finest details. From the spokes, chain and slots in the screw heads to the reflections in chrome.
450 prints with 50 artist proofs were created. Approximately 210 have already been sold.

I can
I can, but the cost really depends on what you want. If you want, send me some photos of what you want. They have to be really nice photos. You may want to Google taking photos of motorcycles for magazines. Basically, the best time is just after sunrise and just before sunset. This way, the sun doesn't "wash-out" the bike and it's colors. It'd more dramatic. I can quote a price after I see what you want.
