yeah, if you look at the parts site, the rails for the FLHRC (leather bags) is a different part from the ones for hard bags, and they do look a little different

The rails for the leather bags are narrower in the back (rear of bike) and only work with the leathers bags....The ones for hard bags are wider in the rear and will work with both style bags....
