what type of paint work would be involed? thought about getting a set for my bike but always wondered what mods would be necessary.
In my situation the paint under the hockey pucks was pretty damaged (I bought my bags used off of Ebay so I'm not sure as to how old they actually were). So when I took the hockey pucks off the area around the perimeter of the pucks was pretty scratched up relative to the paint directly under the pucks which was untouched. If I had installed these latches the scratches around the perimeter of the hockey pucks would have been quite obvious. On a newer set of bags this probably won't be an issue. The actual installation of these latches is quite simple with only a small bit of modification necessary to the actual saddlebag lid.
