thinking about going to an 18" wheel again.

so im seeing if there is any interest.

the wheel will fit 09 up touring bikes. (i converted my axel and spacers to 09 up 25mm axel)

what id be looking for is a trade plus cash.
i want a 18" street glide wheel and $700 cash

i waited 2 months for my wheel to be cut and shipped to me, was a LOOOOONG wait lol. the wheel has a practically brand new Avon Cobra 120/21/17 on it

I have been getting more focused on the handling aspect, i ride pretty agressively. And even though i live the look of the 21" id rather have the benefits of the 18" wheel for handling

 

Hob-- any opinion on SMW?
I love those wheels, and damn affordable compared to others....
But, how's quality?
Why 2 months?

 

quality is outstanding.
wheels are top notch, best you can get in that price range.

the wait was because it was beginning of the season, and they dont have a stock of wheels. they cut them as the order comes in, or so i was told by the lady on the phone.

and they were backed up a few weeks with orders.

Hey man.. Just a thought. You may be putting too much emphasis on what you'd notice between 18 and 21. It's a pretty nominal difference. I would hate to see you sell your 21" for an 18" and realize that it isn't worth the difference in handling. Often many prefer the handling of the 21" with a good front suspension setup. Not that you haven't probably already thought of this, and I understand you do have a good front suspension. Sometimes we tend to over think things. I know I do. For whatever it's worth.. Maybe nothing.
