How did it worked compared to the external fixed mast or stock antenna? Where did you have it mounted?

 

My bike is a FLHT with aftermarket stereo. The stereo installer 1st installed a Metra. I took it out after ordering a Hogtenna. The Metra worked better than the Hogtenna so out came the Hogtenna and I bought another Metra. Works fine for majority of stations but I wanted all the stations. I bought an external mount/2008 standard (shorter) H-D whip. That gets all the stations but I do have a whip mast to walk around. The Metra mounts inside the batwing and you tap the power into a +, switched wire. On my bike the fixed mast works better than the hidden but could just be my geography area?
