difference between 05 and 05A
I asked Dawg what the difference was between the 05 and the 05A when I was considering buying a temp gauge. His reply to me was:
The only difference is that the -05A has the necessary parts to mount the sensor in the oil pan. The -05 had you mount the sensor in the oil lines and it was a PITA. You can still get the -05 and simply buy the pieces needed at a hardware store really cheap and accomplish the same thing. Several have done that anyway with the original -05
