This seat a is brand new and has no miles on it at all. Perfect in every way and fits only the new touring frames. I had a sundowner put on my 09 RKC bike before I took delivery. Curious, what is that rectangular box thing sticking out the back of the seat about an inch or so long I can see in the pics? Doesn't the seat just have a small tab on the back with a hole to screw the seat down into the fender?

 

It's just a piece of foam slid over the tab that mounts it. It's just for protection while shipping.

 

is the rear (passenger) pillion 9" or 12"?

 

Well, in the center of the passenger pillion it measures 10-1/4" on the bottom side of the seat. It is not a sundowner if that is what you are wondering.

Just a heads up, this will also fit 08's. 07 and later had smaller tanks and there is another reason it wont fit that year and older but I forget what it is. I have an 09 ultra seat on my 08 SG and I know other people who have done the same.
