Will fit earlier models also, I put an 08 fairing on my 07, had the painter cut the throttle cable hole out which is marked on the back of the inner. This allowed me to use the new 4 hole mount adjustable air-deflectors.

 

I just did the same thing, bought one from an 09 and used a dremel to cut the hole and as said there is the the outline of the hole imprinted on back so easy to do. It cost $20 to ship from Mont. to Calif via usps parcel post and $26 from NJ to Mont. via parcel post so shipping not as bad as one would think.
