I had these on my FLHTCI when I changed it into a RG now it is back - I loved the 517's so much that I had to find bars for my EG that had the same feel..

The 517's work best on the Road Glides or Road Kings and esp great if you are a short rider. They put the bars back in a very comfortable position.. It is a different feel from other bars but I loved them..

These are used but other than a few marks {UNDER} the left grip area - you can not tell them from a new set for $215 plus shipping

I have a 2009 FLTR (RoadGlide) and I am very interested in the bars you have for sale. I know they have to be modi for fly by wire, but will the work with the stock length clutch cable & brake hose & throttle wires?

Actually, the mod has not been done yet , I am out of town - the mod will be done this coming week. As far as ext wires - yes, I do believe you will need an extra 4" -

I just got off the phone with Wild1... to do the TBW mod is actually quite simple BUT I need the unit and the controls {which I don't have right now}..

Wild1 told me to put the all the controls and grip and the TBW unit on the right. Take a scribe and mark the on the outside of the switch housing - pull everything off - measure the distance from the scribe and where the bar steps up from 1" to 1.25" - this will be the amount you cut off the end of the 1" part... it should be around 1/2" .... Then take the stock bars {Or use the measurements above} make the marks and use a dermal tool to make the cuts.. You can use the TBW unit to verify cuts..

This would all be easy for ME to do here IF I had the parts... I do NOT... So, these bars will have to be sold as is... IF YOU have a bike that needs the TBW = you will have to make the mods...

I am NOT being difficult here - I would love to make the mod and I would if I had the parts here for me to work with..

Still a great price if you want a set of 517's
