you wouldn't know if those vance and hines headers would would with 2" Rinehart mufflers off a true dual set-up would you?

 

Blackflhx, I have a set of TD V&H headers married to Rinehart slip ons.
As I've been informed the V&H headers "cmose" has will not fit 2" RH muffs.

cmose, the older model V&H right header you have is known to have issues with the front brake lever.
Did you have this problem, header and brake lever rubbing, I did and others I know have this problem as well.
I had to modify my shields, header and grind the lever for fitment.
If your V&H header does not have this issue I might be interested in em.

What is different between yours and his?

 

Rinehart true duels are 2" pipes and V&h are standard 1 3/4 pipes I believe.
They would work with a bushing around the head pipes or inside the mufflers to make up the difference.

 

yea I knew the Rineharts were 2" but didn't know the Vance and Hines were the stock size (1 3/4") thanks for clearing that up

 

Slip-on Rinehart muffs. are 1 3/4"
Rinehart true dual is 2"
V&H headers only make the header in 1 3/4" unless they have recently changed.
V&H 562-921-7461 will tell the tell.
I'm old and have been known to be wrong.

 

I had no issues with my front brake lever. Only reason I removed is because I got a good deal in a 2 into 1. A buddy of mine has V & H headers w/ rinehart slipons. It will work if they are the slipons and not the true duals. His sound great and about 1/3 the price.

 

How much are you asking for the true duals? I was going to wait until next year but if the deal is great I might reconsider. I want louder and deeper sound.
