Default Progressive 940

New to the forum, but I ordered these a couple of days. I liked the idea of a 13 in that sits like a 12 in. I ordered from PHAT based on reviews here and on other forums as well as low price. Looking forward to trying these out on my 08 Street Glide. By the way, great info on this forum with no drama!

Interested but confused, SG uses 12 inch stock, phat says 13 inch will sit like the 12s, why not get a 12 inch set and let it sit down another inch but retain travel? Am I missing sumting?

Oops, nevermind, only one size available. Guess the 13 eye to eye when on the scooter sets like the 12s. I get it now............Old timers disease here!

I have the 940 shocks and love them.
But I am only comparing them to my previous stock 12" SG shocks. ;-)

The rebound dampening is excellent.

I'll give a +1 on the crazy price. I just did all four shocks on my Checy Avalanche for much less bucks. And I did not go cheap in the selection.

I have a 01 Road King and just installed them. A much better ride than the old air but I'm noticing a little vibration at higher speeds (60-70). Does anyone know the correct torque for the bolts? The instruction that came with the scocks are not clear. They require that the shock mounts have a minimum clearance of .02" to insure the mounts are not binding and show a pic of a .02" clearance between the mount and the and the flat washer. Don't know how you can do this as the bolt also has a lock washer. How tight do the bolts have to be?

Smile New to the boards

Howdy, or as we say from New Yawk, how ya doin?? New to this forum and after taking a tour it seems pretty cool.

Anyway, new to the board, not to riding. First bike 95 FXDWG but now the geezer glide - 06 FLHX. Stock air bags not cutting it so i just ordered set of 940s and hope to have them mounted by wednesday. Looking forward to the improvement - will report my findings.
