Does this read the air temp in the bike or outside the bike?Has it been Calibrated?

 

These come in the touring bikes, the sensor is mounted inside of the fairing so often they read high because they are reading the temp in the fairing which can be much hotter than the actual temp outside. As far as calibrating it I don't know that you can.
