Can't tell you what foam Chuck uses, but custom jobs are no problem includiung Gel. I have been using C&C on all my bikes since 2005. I can only tell you I keep going back for a reason. It is the perfect match of comfort AND looks, and the best pillion + backrest I have used. They both detach in 2 seconds, and neatly store in the bags.
