Because there are also gray engines on the standards so the jugs and heads with this kit are black. You could use this on a gray engine but one might question your intelligence. On another note if you had had a lot of money you could powder coat everything one color also.

Wish I could say "yes", but ah'm not sure due to the fly-by-wire system. I'd think everything but the intake components would fit, but I'm not sure on that. Might check w/yer mechanic to know for sure!

Man I would love to put this on my bike, but I checked the Harley site and she is not compatible with my 2006 Road King. Damit.

Yeah - which is why I put the part number on it - wanna be sure whoever gets it KNOWS it'll fit!

Then again, you could do an engine swap....
