The seat width is 17" with a narrowed front end to get your feet firmly on the ground. The seat moves you back about an inch. As the name implies, and I will vouch for the fact that this is a super comfortable touring solo seat. Selling because I am going back to a 2up seat as I now have a steady passenger.

Apparently new for 2022, Harley has introduced a separate backrest attachment that bolts on to where the solo seat attaches to the fender. I'm going to look into it as an option for people like yourself that want a backrest. It will be cheaper than buying the same model with a rider backrest attachment.

I had one like this knockoff on my 2012 Street Glide CVO. Flimsy and bent back easily.
